We are interested in the process of transferring our current data file in Quicken to Monyedance software. Because we don't have a current support contract with Intuit, we are unable to open the data file. Does Moneydance have a process for us to be able to transfer/import the data from a protected file?

I'm afraid that only Intuit products can read and process Quicken files, it is a proprietary data format, hence you have to use Quicken to export your data into a common format, usually QIF. This would likely be the case for any product you wanted to migrate to as I know of no other product that can read the Quicken file formats.
