I can't find any reference to where and how my data is held or accessed.

Please advise if the system and my data is held on my desktop and how the mobile app interacts with the data on my desktop.

Please advise if under any circustances at all any of my data or set up is held on athird party server including your own.

Thank you.

    Hi Jeremy,

The easiest way to locate your data file is from within Moneydance. To do so, open Moneydance, from the menu bar, go to Help > Show Documents Folder. A file browser will open to the default location for Moneydance data files.

The file format is filename.moneydance where filename is that name that you give to the data file.

The program itself is installed on your local machine.

I don't use the mobile app so I can't speak to that.

Here is a recent blog post pertaining to TIK's prospective on third party data sharing.

By default your data is stored on your desktop machine, or elsewhere if you so choose.

Data traveling between your desktop and mobile systems is stored on dropbox in an encrypted state
