Apologies if this question has been asked before but what's the best way to import my data from Quicken 2004. I've tried myself but accounts where there are transfers between them seem to mess up.
Looking for an alternative since my bank no longer supports online downloads from Quicken 2004 and it will not open their OFX files.

Thanks

    Hi,

When importing your data, if the QIF file format is available to you when exporting from Quicken, you should follow these steps. In particular make sure you specify to Import into a new account rather than an existing account. And you set the source to "From another program".
It is highly recommended to export all Quicken data into a single QIF file, as doing so makes the import process much smoother. Please use the option in Quicken to export "all accounts" if available. The one exception to this is if you have accounts in more than one currency - if thats the case, then you can follow these steps to import multiple QIF files.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can be of further assistance.

    Hello Ian O,

Thanks for the reply. I think Quicken 2004 only supports exporting one bank account, I can export Account List, Categories, Memorised Transaction and Transactions but can only select one account. Given this, whats the best way to export/import to make sure my data is intact, is this even possible?

    Thanks

I'd recommend following the second set of steps that I provided in my last reply. These steps detail how to migrate exporting a single QIF file for each account and importing them into Moneydance. The process will be a bit more involved as you will have to export each account but you should be able to migrate your data to the Moneydance software.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
