import files
I am a quicken 2000 user in UK and need to upgrade, quicken not supported here so need to find something else!
I have downloaded trial of moneydance and wish to:
a) import old quicken data
b) import credit card transactions in .csv format
HELP cannot make either work !

Hi Karen,
When importing your data, you'll first need to export your data from Quicken in the QIF file format. You can then follow these steps to import your data into Moneydance. In particular make sure you specify to Import into a new account rather than an existing account. And you set the source to "From another program".
It is highly recommended to export all Quicken data into a single QIF file, as doing so makes the import process much smoother. Please use the option in Quicken to export "all accounts" if available. The one exception to this is if you have accounts in more than one currency - if thats the case, then you can follow these steps to import multiple QIF files.
Is CSV the only file format available to you when downloading your credit card transactions? We recommend using either OFX or QFX files (or QIF files) for importing data from your financial institution whenever possible. OFX and QFX files are the best format, with QIF files being the second best and CSV files being a distant third. The import process for CSV files is much more involved than any other standard format.
If CSV is the only file format available to you, you'll find instructions in this article for downloading the 'Text File Importer' extension to import your CSV data. I'd be happy to provide assistance if you have any trouble configuring the CSV import settings.

Thanks for information,
My credit card company now only download of transactions in .csv so cannot import to Quicken!
I have queried this with them but they will only change if demand warrants it
