Transactions Keep Downloading

I'm switching to MoneyDance and I need to coordinate the start of MoneyDance with the end of my old system. I entered a balance for a starting date of December 14. I down loaded my American Express transactions and deleted the ones duplicated in my old system. When I down load from American Express again, the transactions down loaded again. What needs to be done to keep these transactions from continually down loading?

    Hi Denise,

Have you tried Confirming, or Merging the downloaded transactions in your register?

I have confirmed the transactions before deleting them. This appears to be
an issue with only my American Express and not my other accounts.

I'm not from Support, but I believe that merging your duplicate transactions, rather than confirming and deleting, would achieve your desired goal.

I accepted them and made an adjustment to my opening balance.

Sorry to hear of the issue you have encountered. Could you send me the contents of your Moneydance console? This should give us a better understanding of what is happening on your system. Here's how to get the logs:

    1. In Moneydance, click on the Help menu and select the Console Window option. This will open the console messages window.
    2. In the console Window, Click the Copy to Clipboard button at the bottom to copy the text in the console.
    3. Paste the text from the message window into a text file (preferably saved with a .txt or .rtf extension) and attach that file to your response here.

Can you try upgrading to the latest preview release of Moneydance and see if this stops the strange behaviour you are experiencing? You can download the preview version of Moneydance from here.

If this behaviour continues can you send me your errlog.txt file? This might shed some more light on the issue. As you're using Mac OS X, it should be located at one of these locations within your Home folder:

    ~/Library/Containers/com.infinitekind.MoneydanceOSX/Data/Library/Application Support/Moneydance/errlog.txt

    ~/Library/Application Support/Moneydance/errlog.txt

If you have any trouble finding your Home Library folder, open Finder and select Go -> Go to Folder and and copy and paste in the following:

This should pull up your local Library folder.

I'm not using Mac OSX. I'm using Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit.

I downloaded the latest version and I still have the problem. I have
version 2017.1 (1593) installed. I only purchased MoneyDance a few days

How do I stop automatically downloading the transactions for AX Corp? I
would like to do this once a month after the state is prepared.
