switching versions; price graph questions
I downloaded Moneydance 2015.7 several months ago, imported my data from Quicken for Mac but have yet to add any transactions, so I have not yet actually purchased it. Can I download the 2017 version and purchase that instead? I made the switch to Moneydance as part of an operating system upgrade, so I can't go back to Quicken for Mac for data. The data is all in the Moneydance program.
2 functionality questions, as long as I have your attention:
Will my share buys and sells appear on the price graph on the security details page? I liked that a lot about the Quicken program as I could see whether my decision was a good one and learn from it.
Can I adjust the price graph to show a shorter period of time, which would show price changes in greater detail?

I am not support staff, just a user.
Yes it should be OK to download 2017. Make a copy of your data set folder first as a precaution. Assuming you have not moved the folder it can be found under HELP – SHOW DOCUMENT FOLDER. Close moneydance before making a copy. I would suggest you download the preview version at http://infinitekind.com/preview as this fixes some small issues with the released version.
As for the security details page you can right click on the graph and make some changes, but it’s very limited.
Try instead opening the “Currency History” graph in the side bar. Then click on EDIT and using the Drop Down in the “Currency History” box select the security you are interested in. Make changes to the other selections, e.g. date range, as required and click OK. When you are happy with the results and if you want to use the setting again then click MEMORIZE. Enter a new graph name and click OK.
Hope this helps.
