british pound but still showing dollars in totals
Hello, I have just downloaded the trial and imported my QIF file. I changed the settings to be in British pounds and yet totals are still showing as dollars. This occurs on the summary page (screenshot attached) but also on a report I just tested. Do you know why this is and where the setting is where I can change this please?

I am not support staff, just a user.
I am in the UK as well.
Usually when you install moneydance it picks up you country from your computer settings and sets your currency accordingly. If this has not happened then there are two places to check.
FILES – PREFERENCES and ensure “Locale” is set to “English (United Kingdom).
Secondly your base currency. I did a test, changing the base currency to US dollar and found that my equivalent of your screen shot looked the same. That is individual accounts in £. but total in $.
To check the base currency TOOLS – CURRENCIES and in the menu ensure that the base Currency is British Pound. If it is not navigate to highlight British Pound in the list and click “Set Base Currency”.
Hope this helps.

Thank you very much Derek! That has solved it!! Funnily enough, I had been to that ‘tool-currencies- section before, and selected British Pound - but never actually clicked on the bottom ‘set base currency’ after I selected it so obviously it had stayed in US dollars!! Thank you - what a numskull I am. I’m sure I’ll be back with more…..Thanks for helping out :)
