I didn't sign up for Moneydance, only began a trail to see if it worked with my Mac. I'm staying with my old Quicken program for now, however, My Chase transactions are downloading to Moneydance.

How can I stop downloading to your program. Only one account displayed and that one won't download to my Quicken.

I'll try your program later but for now I need to updats efor tax season.

Thanks,
Carol

What Moneydance is doing has no relationship to what Quicken can and cannot do. If Quicken is not downloading data then it is a problem with Quicken, there is no link or flag that only allows you to download the data to one program which is what you appear to be thinking, you could potentially download the same data to as many different programs as you wished.

    Hi Des,

Could Carol's issue be that Moneydance took control of the OFX file association?

As you know, I'm Mac illiterate but it might be similar to Windows where OFX files are associated to MD during setup and they automatically get imported into MD when they're downloaded.

    Hi Kevin,

It's been too many years since I even sat in front of a Mac and my memories of the O/S are zilch.

I see where you are coming from however, if Carol was clicking on a OFX file and the system was starting Moneydance and performing an import then that would be symptomatic of a file association problem. If however she is in Quicken and initiates a online download from inside Quicken then I would not expect file associations to be involved as the OS should not be involved in this.
