MoneyDance File Format
Hello,
My bank, Capital One, is launching their own financial management software application and will no longer support automatic updating of accounts in Quicken. They cannot tell me what format my future downloaded transactions will be in, and it is already virtually impossible to convert them to anything Quicken recognizes in any case. What file format, or file formats, can be imported into MoneyDance for Windows? If MoneyDance uses a proprietary file format, as does Quicken, can downloaded data be easily converted into MineyDance's file format?
Thank you,
Mark Russell

Moneydance can import data in Industry standard formats like OFX/QFX and QIF into any account and tabular formats like CSV into Bank and credit card type accounts.
If your bank does not offer formats like OFX/QFX/QIF I would suggest they are trying to lock people into using their own application and personally I would react to an approach like that by changing banks. I would not tolerate a financial institution telling my what software I am to use.
