Can't import QFX files
I just downloaded Moneydance for the Mac and I am trying to import QFX files that were exported from Windows Quicken 17. It won't import that file. The file is greyed out and I tried to drag and drop it, and it doesn't work. Any ideas on what I can do? I'm using the trial version, but if I can't import QFX files from Quicken, it is unlikely I will ever seriously use Moneydance in the future. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you sure they are QFX files and not QXF files. To my knowledge Quicken cannot export QFX files only QXF files. QXF is completely different and entirely proprietary to Quicken.

Thank you. It is a QXF file. Sorry for the mistake, and thanks for the clarification. I didn't realize there was a difference. Why would any company do something this confusing? I guess the only way to get my data out of quicken is to use the QIF format. Thanks for your help.

Thanks Ben. I replied on the site. It’s my mistake. It’s ironic that Quicken (or I guess Intuit at the time) would make such confusing file extensions. I will try to get my data into Moneydance using the QIF export/import. You can close this question down.
