If I understand you correctly, you want to display the Welcome
Screen.

To do so, from the Moneydance Menu bar go to Window > Welcome
to Moneydance.

Not exactly although your advice did get me back to the welcome
screen
what I would like to do is remove the name that has come up on top
right
see screen shot. I tried to upload files and seem to have made a
mess of
it. I have many more accounts in drop down lists than I want
and
although I have removed all unwanted accounts there are still in
the
drop down list. It would seem to me easier to go right back to the
start
as if I was installing for the very 1st time.
Regards

You can take the following steps to remove the dataset that you
created when you started, please be aware that these changes cannot
be undone:

Open Moneydance.
Click the Help menu -> Show Documents Folder.
This will open a file navigator window to the storage location of
your Moneydance dataset.
Close Moneydance.
Delete any files within this folder to remove all unwanted
acounts.

Restart Moneydance, and you will be presented with the Welcome
to Moneydance screen. From there you can start again from
scratch.

Hope this helps, and feel free to contact me with any questions
about this process!

I see that David from MD support has already replied. The only
thing that I would add to his reply is to take note of the default
location of Moneydance data files for future reference. It's always
good to know exactly where your data is.

it's a good idea to keep track of where you're storing your
dataset. The Help -> Show Documents Folder
function will only take you to the default Moneydance
dataset storage folder, so it won't be helpful at all if you've
moved your dataset to another location!

trouble!

I always allow programs to store files etc where they want to. I am
not computer literate enough to try anything else.
