I have been using Tesco Personal Finance software in the UK (which I think may be an MD product) for a number of years. The files created by the software are file type "MD file".
1: If I purchase MD will I be able to import this file bringing in all of the account details and historical transactions?
2: Also am I correct in saying the default currency can be made GB £s?
   Thanks Martin

I am not support staff, just a user.

As a UK user I can confirm you can set the currency to British Pounds £.

As for importing your Tesco data see this thread.

    Try thing out for yourself.
    Download from https://infinitekind.com/download-moneydance-personal-finance-software
Downloaded version of Moneydance is a full working version with the only limit being a maximum of 100 manually entered transactions, with no time limit. Imported files from other financial programs and your bank have no limit on imports. If you decided to purchase you are sent a key by email that unlocks the 100-manual transaction limit. If after testing with this free trial version you purchase and change your mind see the 90 day money back guaranty at https://infinitekind.com/refunds
For the future Moneydance never sunsets the version it releases. So, you don’t have to upgrade. If you won’t to upgrade the next version is free (say 2015 to 2017) and from then on you get a 50% discount. All upgrades within a version are free.

    For general information see http://help.infinitekind.com/kb

    Hope this helps.

Wow! Tesco is a very old re-brand of Moneydance. I want to assume you could import you old .md files into Moneydance, but we have changed file formats a few times since then. I've queried our lead developer about this.

The good news is you can download the app for a trial run and import. The first 100 transactions are free before you need a license key. You can download that from here:
    http://infinitekind.com/download-moneydance-personal-finance-software

My suggestion is to download the app, make a copy of your data folder, rename the data file, and attempt the import of the renamed file into MD 2017. This way you can see the results before make a purchase.

If there are import issues, please let us know as specifically as possible what you are experiencing and we can attempt to resolve the issue.

This was just passed on to me, for the .md file format when importing into MD 2017 you should use the steps in this FAQ:

    http://help.infinitekind.com/kb/purchasing-and-upgrading/upgrading-...

Also when using MD 2017 please peruse our knowledge base to see all the changes from the version you are currently using: http://help.infinitekind.com/kb
