Multiple difficulties and abberations
Dear All,
I ma trasnfering from Money all my accounts into MD software and i have TREMENDOUS Difficulties:
1. MD (Moneydance) does not allow multiple transfer therefore I have been on click since the past 3 hours...and counting
2. MD does not reconnognize Savings, Current or Credit Card account - How can I amend that?
3. MD does not offer access to status (Savings/current/credit card) in the edit accout section
4. MD does not recognize all currencies and mix them up
5. Transfer of QIF data from portofolio are reg into googledigook manner, MD changes the values and dates!!!
6. MD is sometimes stuck into thinking for more than 5 mninutes for a signle account
7. MD creates automaticly accounts in relation to the transfert it has made, this would be perfect if MD would accept multicurrency transfer,... as it does not I have multiple accounts (zero balance) that serve NO purpose or would bear SAME name.
8. creation date of acount should relate to (at least) on qif transfer the first date of data...not TODAYs date (by default)
9. All TRANSACTIONS transfered are not listed into the follow up of spending or any...
10. How can the client access the nature of data/account etc...
Frankly not userfriendly at all...

No it does not open any additional windows (right clic or Control+click)
Have you lighten the version according to language version?
Account type Change DOES NOT exist
Transfer data is a lunacy, no value evolution kept => discrepancies and aberration
ie I have a term deposit whose value has increased by 4000% in the process…
really need some serious debugging
I am not to spend my time in sourcing the reason for your software not to be in line with my expectation.
100% Refund is now expected.

I would be happy to authorize a refund and I am inclined to offer you technical assistance first. This is not an attempt to get out of giving you a refund, if that is what you want let me know and I will authorize it today. However if there is something specific you believe that I might be able to assist you with I am at your service.
Just to make sure, are you following the instructions for importing at http://help.infinitekind.com/kb/importing-data-from-other-programs/...? Make sure you choose to first import the account information only before importing your data. This will allow you to change things like the currencies, types of account, etc. Most of these things cannot be altered after you have data in your accounts. Most of the problems you describe can be traced back to not setting up your accounts correctly before importing your data.

Thanks for the tip … but no it did not solve the matter.
Say I have got c.70 accounts to transfer (savings, current, pension, trusts…) and them a further 30 relating to property or removable assets (cars, boat, motorcycles…)
The idea is to migrate to a mac based software to ease the use of my memory and stabilize data and transfer as well as simplify the follow up.
I will try your tip on the next batch but I do think having to do a double transfer for cash accounts, and quadriple transfer for investment account is very much time consuming.
Could you also respond to my query in relation to account type can this be change easily?
