Quicken import errors
I'm attempting to import from Quicken and start using money dance but I can't seem to get an accurate conversion. I've tried multiple times following the instructions exactly and my balances don't come out correctly. Starting balances are correct and this is not the cause of the issue.
What is the most curious thing is that when I do the first import step and tell it to import account info only it also imports a bunch of transactions. This may be a symptom of another issue but certainly seems to be the start of where things go wrong.

Hi Erik,
Can you try going to File -> New to create a new data set, then follow these instructions:
http://help.infinitekind.com/kb/importing-data-from-banks-and-other...
to import your QIF file again and see if the data is correct then?

I can report same behavior, trying to import Q2013 QIF file. Select new file, minimal account list. Select import, new account, select the quicken qif file, select 'from program file', and check the only 'import account info'. Some accounts are empty, but many, especially investment accounts, have transactions already.
errlog file for the account only import shows lots of:
QIF Import Error: record out of context: (with various amounts)
I have tried several combinations of import to try to find a combination that works with minimal errors.

Hi Erik,
Unfortunately QIF files have some quirks and limitations (especially if you use multiple currencies), so you may be encountering some of those and it may require some manual modifications to correct your data.

Hi JKane,
We recommend following these instructions:
http://help.infinitekind.com/kb/importing-data-from-banks-and-other...
to get the best results from importing your QIF data.
If you've got transactions that you don't want in your investment accounts, you can enter the account and press Ctrl + A (or Cmd + A on a Mac) to select all the transactions in the account, then press delete to delete all the transactions.

Hi Erik,
I am sorry that our product did not meet your needs. I have asked our payment processing partners BMT Micro to process your refund. They will let you know when the process is complete from their end.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance, and thank you for your interest in Moneydance.
