Archiving doesn't work.
I am currently a Quicken Essentials user, and have been evaluating MoneyDance as a replacement. However, when I tried the archiving feature, it didn't appear to be work. I checked off the option to remove the transactions before the specified date, and nothing appeared to happen. Is this because it is an unregistered copy, or does it just not function properly?

Hi William,
The option to archive has been deliberately removed from the latest preview version.
If you are a Quicken user, you may be interested in the following article, which details how to transfer your data from Quicken Essentials - http://help.infinitekind.com/kb/importing-data-from-banks-and-other...
The demo version allows you to manually enter 100 transactions. Imported transactions are not limited, so you'll be able to fully test importing your data.
I would also recommend checking out the User Guide, which has lots of information about getting started.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance, and thank you for your interest in Moneydance.

Thanks for the info. The transfer from Quicken Essentials appears to have gone smoothly. The only thing missing were the entries from the "Action" column in Quicken Essentials. This appears to be related to Moneydance's use of the "Check#" column as a combination of Quicken Essential's data supported by the "Action" and "Check #" columns.

Hi William,
If some details within the transactions have been imported incorrectly, you can change multiple transactions at once.
If you select the relevant transactions using the shift key, then right click and select 'Batch Change'. From there you can select the 'Check#' category and make any required changes.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
