Transferring old Quicken files

How do I transfer old Quicken files (Q3.dir, Qdata.QDF, Qdata.QEL and Qdata.QSD)? I currently only have the demo (100 transactions) version of Moneydance. Does that make a difference?

    You first need to open your old Quicken data with Quicken and export from Quicken to a QIF file. The QIF file can then be imported into Moneydance.
