USAA problem with QIF and CSV

USAA Insurance also has Master Card, which I have successfully downloaded to MD for a couple of years. Today, the selection for QIF no longer appears on their download selections screen. The only option provided is CSV.

I called USAA and they say they are having trouble with Quicken and possibly with a tax program related to Quicken, and they have temporarily taken QIF off of the USAA master card site screen. They hope to have QIF back in a day or so.

For now this is fYI for your other correspondents. I will try to post next week after I try again.

If they can't fix it I can't continue with the Master Card on MD

    ok Kevin, thanks

It may take me a little while to get to it, but I will post something back in a week or so, and let's see what we can do.

Very annoying that they are doing this.    But they are not the only bank doing it.

    Hi gtodd,

They will only permit .csv, and that only through their "EasyView" (bank aggregator) program.

Are you able to download the .CSV file from HSBC?

Is so, could you post a small sample of the file? I will try to import it using the two extensions mentioned in my post # 2.

I only need to see the column structure and at least one payment and at least one deposit txn.

Keep in mind that these are public forums, so make sure that there is no sensitive data in the file before attaching it.

That's fine. I will keep an eye out for your post.

I agree. There are other financial institutions that are charging their customers upwards of $120.00 a year for direct connect service.

Gone are the days of the free toaster.
