Cannot locate extensions to import CSV files from Mint

I recently purchased Moneydance and am pretty excited about migrating over from Mint. I have read through several support articles regarding importing the CSV files. Unfortunately, my program does not include the menu item for extensions. I reviewed the support site for this and found a few threads indicating this functionality was removed. So after banging my head on the wall, I found a link to download and install the extensions manually....that site appears to now be offline. I researched that and found a thread where it was stated Moneydance decided to go a different direction. Did I make a mistake purchasing this? I would like to bring my three years of data with me. Please help me out here. I just cannot imagine why you have taken steps to hide these extensions and make this difficult. You have a great product here, but it seems you have decided to only support customers migrating from Quicken and have left the Mint users out.

Extremely disappointed,
Chris Sanchez

    Hi Chris,

I'm sensing that you purchased Moneydance through the Apple store. Is that correct?

The version of Moneydance sold through the Apple store must meet Apple's stringent sandboxing restrictions in order to be offered there. This is why the Extensions menu is not offered by default.

    That's the bad news.

The good news is that you should still be able to manually install Extensions.

To do so, go to the following post by Moneydance Support Staffer Jon Hoover:
    http://help.infinitekind.com/discussions/questions/6560-extensions#...

Download the '.mxt' file for each Extension that you're interested in. You may or may not need to right-click (CTRL-click for Macs) on the link to the Extension and choose 'Save Link As' (or whatever the wording is for your particular browser) in order to download the file. Drag-n-drop the '.mxt' file onto the opened Moneydance window to install it.

There are two Extensions that can import CSV files.
The Text File Importer and the CSV File Importer.

After installing the Extension(s) post back if you need help with importing the CSV file.

If you could post a small sample of the file, I will try to set up the importer(s) for you.

I only need to see 1 payment transaction and 1 charge transaction so as to get a sense of the column structure and how credits and debits are handled.

Keep in mind that these are public forums, so redact any sensitive data before posting the file.

    HTH -Kevin N.
