Problems encountered with trial version
I'm testing the waters to see if I can safely move from
Quicken/PC to Moneydance/MAC. In the trial version that I
downloaded, I had some issues with editing securities as some
market prices were not updated accurately--this occurred more than
once. When clicking Done, the application would freeze and my only
option to get out would be to Force Quit. In reloading, I would be
prompted to select a newer saved version, but in so doing I would
end up losing some accounts as well as customization. While I like
the look and feel of Moneydance in contrast to Quicken, I am leery
of such incidents and the loss of data, should I decide to make the
switch.
Thanks in advance for your response.

What version of Moneydance are you using? You can find out your version by going to the Help Menu and choosing the About Moneydance option. If you are not using the most recent preview version (2008r4 Build 643), please update to that version. You can download the update from our website at http://moneydance.com/preview.
I apologize for the lateness of this response, please let me know if you issue has been resolved, or if not how I can assist you.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance, and thank you for your interest in Moneydance.

Thanks for the belated reply. I'm using 2008r4 build 640 and that's
as high as it goes whenever I update (I have since purchased the
software.) I have not attempted to manually update my stocks for fear
that it will lock again. Other than that, it seems to be running
without any glitches so far as I mainly use it for bank and credit
registries. I will certainly let you know should the problem arise
again.
Thank you,
