Sync not working

I moved my data to a MS Onedrive location and began accessing it from a different laptop. Months later I went back to the 'old' laptop and now the data is not in sync. I've verified that both laptops point to the same shared location - what should I do to prevent chaos? Thankx, Mike.

What do you mean by "I moved my data to a MS Onedrive location"
If you mean that you physically moved the data set and now run it from a shared location then that is a bad thing to do as it has been noted that this often causes data corruption.
Hence I think we need more detail on your exact environment.

Thanks for the quick response. Based on what you say, I need to re-think my setup. I did intend to access the data set from a shared location. I will look for more information about the preferred syncing and sharing environment. Is there a comprehensive guide for this that you might point me toward?
