Unable to enter registration code - no field to put it in
Switched to a new PC and re-installed and updated Moneydance in Linux,
All appears okay but when I try to enter my 2024 valid (tested) registration code, there is no field to enter it in, copy and paste nor manual entry does not work. See attached.
Please assist.

I am not support staff, just a user.
Hi
If you have installed a build of MD 2024 earlier than build 5117 then there is a bug. Try updating to 2024(5117)

I'm not able to reproduce you problem with build 5117 on Linux Mint

It looks like the problem may be that when the Registration window is slight too small the field collapse, try making it a little larger.

Hello Stuart
If you had anything to do with the latest fix (new version 2024.1 (5118))
then thank you. After an upgrade from version 2024 (5117) the registration
field is now there again to enter my license. However, since the update
appears to be considered a major upgrade, my registration code no longer
works, so I guess I would have to purchase a new license for Moneydance if
I want to continue using it. Agh!
I identified a software problem, it was promptly fixed, and now I am being
penalized for it. Who should I contact to resolve this?

I'm a fellow user.
It is not that Moneydance 2024.1 is a major upgrade is that 2024 itself is a major upgrade, unfortunately due to a glitch there were incorrectly advises that Moneydance 2024 was a free upgrade from Moneydance 2022, where as the upgrade policy is that you purchase a Version of Moneydance and you get a free upgrade to the next major release.
Here is an explanation
Some users with a Moneydance 2022 license can use 2024.0 but not 2024.1
The problem is that the initial release of Moneydance 2024 in some cases accepted license keys purchased for 2022 as a free upgrade when it should not have. This has been corrected for Moneydance 2024.1, but the updater will not say that it is a paid for upgrade because the updater thinks the software already has a valid 2024 license for people who have only purchased 2022. The updater cannot be changed to recognize this as the problem is in Moneydance 2024.0 itself.
The Moneydance upgrade policy is that purchasing a license entitles you to use that version of Moneydance plus a free upgrade to the next major release.
Moneydance versions 2022, 2023 and 2024 are all considered major versions.
You have a number of choices:
1. You can downgrade to the version you were previously on. There have not been any data format changes between Moneydance 2023 and Moneydance 2024. Moneydance 2023 can be sourced from https://infinitekind.com/download_2023
2. You can upgrade to the latest release at a discount https://infinitekind.com/update
This oversight has just been an unfortunate error. Your entitlements remain as they have been for many years.
Unfortunately these glitches happen at times.
If you wish to make a complaint you would contact Sean Reilly.

Thank you for your reply. It explained things well. I have gone ahead with
a discounted upgrade to the current version of Moneydance.
