I searched the discussions and found one on back ups, but couldn't use it since my file does not have a save as feature so I need a way to save my Monedance to a memory stick for a back up. Having accidently lost 6 months and having to restruct them makes me nervous that I might have the same problem again. Please show me the way

Thanks so much

    Hi Eleonore,

Have you considered backing up to Dropbox? It will serve both as a backup (cloud) and a very efficient way to share your MD file with other computers (in my case, I use MD on a Mac desktop, but when I'm away from home, I access my MD files through a Windows laptop).

You may find the following discussion useful: http://help.infinitekind.com/discussions/questions/15779-win-and-mac.

Still, you could just copy the folders containing your MD files to a USB stick. To locate your main data files, inside MD click "Help" > "Show Documents Folder".
The folders you are looking for are named something like yourfilename.moneydance.

Be sure to close MD before you move any folders!

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Elinore,

To add to forum member Marco's excellent advise. Another option is to use your OS's (or a third party) backup program to maintain a backup regimen of your Moneydance data.
