Check register sorting by order entered.

I would like to be able to sort the check register by the order the transactions are entered. This does not appear to be an option.
We still keep a paper checkbook (hey, we're old and set in our ways...) and would like the transactions order to match what is in the register. Right now the closest we seem to be able to get is to sort by "date" or "date entered". But it does not line up all the time.
Transaction would be sorted by the order entered as well as the order confirmed (confirmation would constitute entry). This would allow the App register to match the paper register.
We are dumping Quicken and they had that option which we got used to and it made sense for us. Right now, balancing the checkbook with MoneyDance has been very confusing.....early in the learning curve... but any assistance would be appreciated.

I agree. I, too am dumping Qicken, but they DO have some good features I have become accustomed to...

You can sort by the Check number. Enter a fraction on deposits to force them in a specific order between checks.
