The nightly build gives a nice snapshot of what is being worked on and sometimes fixes a show stopper bug. In looking for the "all %" bug fix tonight I found that the nightly build had not been updated since 1/25? Does this mean that the daily current version of MD is such a big rewrite that it does not build? That would mean big changes are in the future!

    Hi sth,
I think that you might be reading a little to deeply into the lack of a current daily build. From what I've read on these forums, the MD developers have been consentrating their efforts solely into creating a new version of the mobile i-whatever app.

    Hi sth,

Kevin's correct. The answer is a little more mundane: we're simply having trouble with our build server, which is due for an upgrade soon.

Jessica, that was my guess as well. But I was going to be optimistic. The nightly build should update automatically from the current code. Unless the current code is "broken" in which the updates should not have been committed to the version control system. The nightly build should be automatic from the last working code commit in the version control system. I figured the scripting was broken for some reason.

FYI. It stopped again on 2/22.

At that time it was only 1kbyte larger than my in use copy so I am figuring that there is not much changes yet. It would be great for the Mac users if the info.plist showed a bundlle or build number. If you do a get info on the file the "Version" is listed as "Moneydance" which is not all that useful a designation.

It seems in the Info.plist you have CFBundleGetInfoString defined as Moneydance. This precludes the normal use of CFBundleShortVersionString in the Get Info window. I suggest that you get rid of CFBundleGetInfoString and then auto update the version. At the moment the CFBundleShortVersionString is 2011 which isn't all that useful either. It should probably be 2011r2.806.xxxx (where xxxx is the nightly build number that resets with each point release 805, 806 etc.).

This should be part of the automated build sequence to keep it up to date.

It is building again. At least sporadically. The April 22 build #808 seems to work well.
