Matching accounts with Moneydance+
This discussion is public.
There does not seem to be a way to match accounts. I have 3 different credit cards at Chase and they just show up as "Credit Card" and I can only guess which entry goes with which account. This is a bit ridiculous and makes setup needlessly error prone.
How can this be straightened out?

just a user
Login to chase, and give a nickname to each credit card. Chase is the one that is simply saying "CREDIT CARD" - not Moneydance or Plaid. Once you give a nickname, these names will be provided by Chase to Plaid/MD+.
You MAY have to disconnect and reconnect to make the nicknames appear, but I'm not sure of that step, they may just appear.

Thanks for the pointer, "dtd". Nicknames helped clear up the confusion but not before littering my accounts with the wrong transactions. I wish the instructions from Infinite Kind were clearly about this up front.

Definitely agree that the instructions should mention the issues that you may encounter when setting up MD+. Some accounts show the last digits when setting up and others, such as Chase, don't. Not that it helps you at this point, but I believe that IK intends to have all accounts show the last digits on the setup screen. I know that Stuart Beesley has added a function in the Toolbox preview version that presents the information. I would expect future MD preview builds to incorporate the information/change.
Toolbox preview build (1055)
MENU: Online Banking Tools > View online banking configuration/connection data (OFX/DC and MD+) > Look under MD+ CONNECTIONS, ACCOUNT MAPPING, (last digits: ...)
