print checks

Hello

I need to print checks but these are not for bank use, just for marketing purposes.
Each check should however have a unique number, and I would like to be able to print in bulk.
I am in Europe, so would also like to know if that will be a problem in terms of getting check paper for the correct size that your software requires. By the way, does it allow more than one size?

Moneydance does not print the full check. Which is to say it will not print the account number and routing number on the check as this is supposed to be printed in special magnetic ink. If you don't need the account number or routing number on your checks or you already have check stock with those number preprinted then you could use Moneydance to print your marketing checks.

In order to print a check you would need to create a transaction and mark it to be printed. In order to print a lot of checks you will need to create a lot of transactions. Depending on the numbers involved this may be highly inefficient. I suspect that you would be better off using something like Microsoft Word to print your dummy marketing checks with one of it automated fields for the increasing check numbers.

It would be great if one could format voucher checks. My voucher checks from my bank are at the bottom of the sheet. A great feature in moneydance would be 1. to move around the field in the voucher check without limitations 2. to actually choose the fields you want in the checks/voucher 3. to upload your template and specs...Is there an extension for this or a way to do this

There is no extension for further check calibration options.

Which limitations are you referring to?

In my checks from the bank. The check is all the way at the bottom of the page. The voucher is on top. When I print vouche checks I can move payee etc to 200 position. I need to be able to move it all the way down.

    Hi Melissa,

When configuring the printing locations for Voucher checks there are two positions for each entry--were you changing the "Payee" entry or the "Stub:Payee" entry to try and move it to the bottom of the page? If you scroll down on the print preferences for calibrating the Voucher checks, I think you might be able to get what you want by moving the Voucher portions down to the bottom of the paper.

    Hi Melissa,

Unfortunately Moneydance doesn't support printing checks at the bottom of the page and I don't have a good work around solution for you. Sorry that I don't have better news! Please let us know if we can be of further assistance!

Would be nice if you could add that feature or template. Or at least low us to move check fields all the way at the bottom in voucher checks
