Unfortunately, some versions of Quicken have removed the ability to export data in the QIF format.

If you've moved past the Welcome screen in Moneydance but still need to import your Quicken Essentials data, select Window > Welcome to Moneydance.

Open Quicken and select Export

Incorrect account balances

Back in the 2000s the only way to automatically download transactions from a bank into personal finance software was to use OFX Direct Connect. This is a standardised communication protocol that many banks support. It allows installed apps, such as Moneydance or Quicken, to directly talk to the bank's server and retrieve any new transactions.

Reckon Quicken Personal Plus is a special version of Quicken, available in Australia.

You can follow the steps below if you are currently experiencing connection problems when trying to download transactions from or set up a new connection with BBVA:

To import data from Quicken Essentials select "Migrate from Quicken Essentials"

Or you can contact the bank and ask them to set up your account for "Direct Connect from Quicken".

QIF files can be used to transfer data to another personal finance program (like Quicken).

If these formats aren't available, you can download QIF files (aka Quicken or MS Money files).
