Connecting to TD Bank

When linking an account in Moneydance to TD Bank you'll need to first enable access to your accounts from Moneydance. This can be done with the following steps:

  • Calling TD Bank (1-877-284-4037) to enable "Direct Connect services for Quicken 2018 for Windows". You will need to refer to Quicken for Windows because Moneydance uses the same OFX protocol to connect. If there are difficulties at this step, then we recommend to explain that you wish to use direct connect for a program other than Quicken and it needs to be enabled without using the Quicken approved “one-step update".
  • After connections are enabled, open Moneydance and attempt to connect your account to TD Bank using the Online -> Setup Online Banking menu, and then follow the prompts.
  • Once the connection is configured, select the Online -> Download menu to attempt to download transactions. You will receive an error message indicating that you need to enable services on your account.
  • Open the TD Bank web site and login, then navigate to the Account Options -> Account Services section and select "Manage Financial Tool Access"
  • Approve the connection from "Quicken Windows 2018"
  • Go back to Moneydance and attempt to download transactions again. This time it will work!
