Console Window
The Console Window displays information about the program and your data file.
You may be asked to provide a copy of the console messages if you're troubleshooting a problem with the Infinite Kind support team.
You can also use the Console Window to reveal the locations of special files and folders such as sync folders, backups, settings, etc.
To access this window, open Moneydance and choose Help > Console Window.
This will open the console window, containing lots of text relating to the program and your data file.
Console Window Options -
To view the Console Window options, select the icon at the bottom left of the window (highlighted below).
This will display the following menu that has many options for viewing or handling your Moneydance files and logs.
Copy to Clipboard
This will copy the full contents of the Console Window to your clipboard. You can then paste the contents into another program.
Files and Folders
See the section below for more information.
Copy Moneydance+ Settings to Clipboard
This copies the settings relating to your Moneydance+ connection to the clipboard. You can then paste the contents into another program.
Copy Moneydance+ Settings to Log
As above, but the settings are copied into the main Console Window.
Write JVM Status to Log
This includes the status of your Java Virtual Machine in the Console Window.
Enable Automatic JVM Status Logging
When enabled, the status of your Java Virtual Machine will be automatically included in the Console Window.
Syncing
This displays the sync status, either Enabled or Disabled.
Below these options, you'll see a list of log types. You can enable or disable any of these log options to include/remove them from the Console Window.
Files and Folders -
Selecting Files and Folders will reveal the menu below -
This menu displays a number of Moneydance files you'll find on your system.
Select any of the file types to display another menu (shown below).
In the screenshot below, we've selected Files and Folders > Last Exported Backup.
You'll see the relevant file location listed at the top of the menu.

Select Copy to Clipboard to copy the file location.

If you select Show in Finder, you can view the file at its location on your system.

Selecting Write to Log will add the file location details to the main Console Window.
