Check Field Entries
You can amend the Check settings to change the items you see within the Check# field.
To do this, open your account register and click on the Check field of a transaction.
This will reveal a menu that displays your check items (as shown below).
Select "Edit List..." at the bottom of the menu.
This will open the "Check Number Settings" window (as shown below).
In this window, you'll see the "static list" at the top.
This list includes items that will always be displayed in the Check field.
You can add, remove, and edit specific items in this list.
Use the +
and -
buttons to add/remove items.
Double-click on an item to edit it.
Below this are the options for automatically including recently used check numbers.
You can choose to include check items from the same account or all accounts
(or choose "Dont Include" to hide all check items)
You can also specify the maximum amount of recent check numbers to be displayed.
Reduce items in Check field -
To reduce the number of items you see in the Check field, amend the settings at the bottom of the window.
Try reducing the number in the "Max Entries" field.
For example, if you change this field to 10, your Check field will display only the 10 most recently used check entries.
Alternatively, you can change the "Recent Entries" field to "Don't Include".
Then press "+" and use the static list at the top to enter all check items you use frequently.
By doing this, your recently used check items won't be included in the list. But all items you've added to the static list will always be displayed.
